Arbetsbeskrivning
At NRG, we all work to take the retail trade in the Nordic region forward by focusing on the people who make a difference, being creative, and having the courage to try our ideas together. For more than 20 years, NRG has developed strategies and implemented them together with our customers. Among the customers are several of the strongest brands; including Asics, Microsoft, Dyson et al.
Job description
As a Product Owner at Nordic Retail Group, you will funnel the priorities and ideas of each department into a common product vision. You will ensure that the product fulfills the needs of the customer, while safeguarding that the deliveries are in harmony with the company’s strategic goals.
As a Product Owner you will live in the gap between what customers want (or even think they want) and delivery of the tangible product features. You’ll translate our customer language into technical details using every trick in the book. Whether it’s pencil sketches or intricate technical details or even painting a picture of the customer for your developers, you’ll make the difference between an OK product and one that customer’s love.
Our digital platform
Our consumer activation platform is used for connecting and engaging consumers (end users) with our clients and partners (and their brands). It makes it possible for our clients, in an easy and effective way, to engage with their consumers while creating loyalty and a lasting relationship between them and their brand. With that, we put a lot of effort to create a seamless user experience for our end users, while providing our clients with an easy-to-use platform for content and campaign management.
We are in full swing of developing and improving the platform and are now looking for a Product owner who will strengthen our tech team. You will work in a self-driven team with close contact with both designers, developers and stakeholders.
Product Owner tasks
Product owners are responsible for communicating with stakeholders across the board, including customers, business managers, and the development team to make sure the goals are clear and the vision is aligned with business objectives. Some of the responsibilities will be:
- Define customer needs and the associated features to meet those needs.
- Ensure user stories are “ready” for development to start work.
- Help the team maintain the vision by using the product roadmap (https://www.lucidchart.com/blog/product-roadmap-visualization)
- Ensures each story has the correct acceptance criteria.
- Gathers, manages, and prioritizes the product backlog.
- Ensures close collaboration with the development team.
- Work closely with the tech team and quality assurance to ensure the right customer problem is solved.
- Tracks progress towards the release of a product.
- Work with a cross-functional team in planning a product release.
- Advocates on behalf of the customer for the development team.
- Prioritizes defect or bug resolution.
About you
As a person, we believe that you appreciate problem-solving, sharing ideas and experiences, and like to work in a structured and team-oriented way.
You are efficient and flexible in your work. You see solutions where others get stuck, are driven by creating innovative digital products, and are an accommodating and communicative team player. We highly value that you are passionate about what you do and that you thrive with the rest of us.
Most important of all is your personality and desire to drive a product concept. More than that we believe that you have experience from working within a field close to or within product management. You are used to taking responsibility and have the ability to communicate on different levels and with different kind of people.
