Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania and the transport industry are experiencing a big shift towards Intelligent, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles. Vehicles without drivers needs to be coordinated by intelligent planning and scheduling algorithms making the efficiency and utilization rate of the transports go up. This means taking a wider perspective than the single vehicle and focusing on coordinating a fleet of self-driving vehicles with our cloud services, which our teams contributes to by providing geospatial intelligence and customer integrations.
What we offer
We offer a dynamic, agile, and collaborative environment where your knowledge and skills are highly valued. You will be encouraged to take initiatives and dare to try new things as part of an agile and empowered development team.
Scania’s culture is characterized by openness, diversity, and respect for the individual. The people who work here are our most important asset, so we will invest in you to help you grow with us.
As a Scania employee, you are offered several benefits in addition to personal and professional development opportunities. These benefits include mutual bonus, occupational pension, and flexible working hours.
Our main office is in Södertälje, but we also have a satellite office in Liljeholmen, Stockholm. We work part time from the office and part time from home, evaluating the best mix continuously.
The role
We are looking for a product owner for the team working with integrations and APIs within our Autonomous Transport Solution (ATS) system. We call this area ATS Connect, and it enables data flow within the different parts of our own system as well with external partners and suppliers in the transport ecosystem. Despite the current clear focus on integrations and APIs, the team is expected to adapt to changes in what they work with continuously.
We have a microservice based architecture deployed in Amazon Web Services that is developed through a strong team effort and in collaboration with other teams and partners. The team is working closely together in pair programming or mob programming sessions to build, test and deploy high-quality software.
One important part of your responsibilities will be to build up a relationship and good collaboration with an external development partner. You will be responsible from the R&D organization for the integration with this partner, and you will have support from the development team, architects, a partnership manager, and the business owner for the domain.
Another important part of your role is to lead the team in evaluating and measuring the outcome of what the team delivers and adapt the direction according to the results of these measurements.
Qualifications
At Scania as a whole and within the team, we strive for a broad mix of experience, skills, and personalities. We are looking for a humble team player with an open and collaborative mindset and with a willingness to learn and share.
We think you have been working with cloud-based product development for a few years. You have experience from bringing products and services to production based on the efforts of a distributed development organization. You have good understanding of system architecture and can handle tradeoffs between short term gains and long-term goals when working with a development partner. You either have experience of product ownership or other leading positions. You have one foot in technology and another in cooperation and leadership. You enjoy facilitating collaboration, but you are not afraid of taking decisions when needed and you dare to take the lead and prioritize work.
Interested?
Great! Please help us understand why you should be our next colleague in your personal letter. We also need your CV and a copy of your degree diploma. Last date of application will be 28th of February, but we will review candidates continuously so please send us your application asap.
