THE POSITION
We are currently searching for a Product Owner for Business Intelligence. The position will be responsible for managing Business Intelligence throughout our global organization to deliver valuable insights and analytics. From day-to-day KPIs to predictive forecasting based on data not yet mined. The long-term goal for this position is to increase company engagement and usage of analytics that will lead to a more informed global organization.
This role will work across all departments to support their analytics and reporting needs of today and in the future. You will be a key interface to many parts of the organization to support them with their strategies or focus areas and to provide insights and analytics to enable data driven decisions.
Part of the role will be to improve data to create, modify and assemble meaningful KPIs and BI dashboards to satisfy evolving data requirements. You will drive the development of Business Intelligence tools and conduct training for the organization.
You will be part of our Global IT team, but work in a cross-functional team consisting of both business and IT.
In order to succeed in this role, you need a genuine interest in leadership and possess coaching capabilities.
The Roxtec IT department covers operation, development and support for all the 28 subsidiaries in the group, worldwide. The IT department is based at the Roxtec headquarters in Karlskrona, Sweden, where all systems, from ERP through to other special applications, are maintained and developed.
Key responsibilities:
• Define the vision and roadmap for Business Intelligence at Roxtec.
• Make sure that the Roxtec data/analytics and development pipelines are developed and maintained according to identified needs.
• Ensure that all necessary stakeholders are considered and involved in requirement gathering.
• Gather, manage and prioritize the BI backlog.
• Facilitate BI/analytics training and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure data-governance.
• Information ownership for the product – securing the data according to data privacy regulations.
You will also:
• Help the team deliver any tasks that are needed.
• Help creating and evaluating requirements, internally but also towards external partners.
• Ensure continuous improvements within the area.
Good to have:
• A university degree in engineering or computer science or similar.
• Experience from data transformation, data analysis, cloud-based data warehouse and machine learning.
• Experience from Scrum, SAFe or Kanban.
• Project Management skills.
• Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
• It is a merit if you have experience from Power BI (or any other visualization tool), and project management.
