What´s in it for you?
We are looking for a passionate Product Owner that can lead product development teams to deliver wireless key products and exceptional business value. You and your teams will have full end-to-end responsibility for digital key and vehicle approach functionality, based on standardized requirements, wireless communications, and mobile phone OEM’s digital wallets.
We use modern tools and agile methods to continuously create business value. We ensure high quality and adaptability in our development and delivery. Of course, we have a lot of fun together while doing it.
The purpose of the role
As product owner, you will maximize value by owning and deciding upon priorities in the digital key team’s backlog from a business perspective to streamline the execution, while maintaining the technical integrity of the features/components for the team. You are the voice of the Digital key product area; you have a business perspective and some technical know-how.
What you’ll do
You will be articulating and consistently emphasizing the short- and long-term vision of the products to your teams and relevant stakeholders as well as ensure increased stability for our products by close collaboration with the operations teams.
You will also be owning, prioritizing and refining the features in the backlog, including defects, continuous improvements and enablers; as well as participating in the development of acceptance criteria, and drafting them when feasible. Involving the team in backlog refinement to achieve minimum handover and maximum joint understanding; as well as understanding the scope of the upcoming enablers, collaborating with the team and technical architects to assist with decision-making, and sequencing of the key technological infrastructures.
We believe it’s important you are available to the teams and answering their questions as well as participating in sprint planning, demo and retrospective (as requested by the team).
You will actively coordinate content dependencies with other Product Owners.
It is also important that you are continuously developing your own skills and help the team and other Product Owners develop theirs. Participating as a member of the extended Product Management team, review, and contribute to the program-level vision, roadmap, and content presentations.
You and Your Skills
Digital key is a fast growing, high focus area where a lot of new functions and services will be developed for Volvo Cars’ upcoming platforms. You are experienced in driving product strategy and have both technical Product leadership and business strategy competence.
You have experience from facilitating collaboration between teams and management with agile development methodologies. You are excellent at communication, presenting and relationship building with teams and global stakeholders.
To succeed, we believe that your background and skills include:
• Leading and driving product strategy as a tech lead, engineering manager, product owner, product manager, project manager, or equivalent for a minimum of 5 years.
• Strong understanding and practical experience of agile development methodologies for product development teams.
• Experience with using various tools for managing and visualizing the progress and value of a product team.
• High integrity and a bias for action will make you successful in this role.
