Product Owner – Dirac Live for Home & Pro
Dirac is a world-renowned audio technology company and we’re passionate about sound. Wherever or however you enjoy audio, we give your audio system the power to push beyond its physical limitations. We transform your car into a mobile HiFi room. Headphone listening becomes a fully immersive experience, your studio being optimized for accurate listening, and your mobile device turns into a pocket-sized entertainment center. Many of the most respected and recognizable electronics and automotive manufacturers already use Dirac technologies in their products, including Harman, Klipsch, Cleer, Nio, OPPO, Pioneer, Volvo, Rolls Royce, BYD and many others
Dirac is headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden, with offices in China and India, as well as representatives in Japan, USA, South Korea and Germany. Additionally, Dirac operates an R&D center in Copenhagen, Denmark. Undergoing an intense growth phase, the Dirac team consists of more than 100 people – with additional expansion on the immediate horizon.
We are looking for an experienced and structured product owner, for our Home & Pro team in Uppsala, Sweden.
The team develops and productizes our renowned Dirac Live solution for room correction and bass control, targeting home AVR’s (audio video receivers), as well as home and professional studio users. We have some of the world’s largest AVR brands as our customers. The solution enables calibration, correction, and optimization to enhance sound system performance and minimize any negative influence of room acoustics. It is based on end-user measurements, feeding into patented and highly unique correction technology. Part of the solution is integrated into the AVR, and part is an end-user app, for either desktop or mobile. We are currently improving the user experience as well as developing new powerful features to improve the audio experience even further.
In the role as product owner of Dirac Live, you will join an agile product team of passionate developers and audio enthusiasts. You will contribute to product roadmap, feature definition, and architecture choices, maintain an up to date, well defined and prioritized product backlog, define and refine requirements and acceptance criteria for tasks, defects, and enablers, and drive technical breakdown and estimation, in collaboration with the team, the technical lead and the scrum master. You will manage dependencies, technical risks, and stakeholder communication, and help satisfy Dirac customers by ensuring the right scope, schedule, quality, and corresponding delivery. You will work closely with product management (who drives longer-term product strategy, business cases, and roadmap) and project management (who drives project planning and execution across our development portfolio). You may occasionally assist hands-on in development and test.
You are passionate about the customer and the user journey, and you are adept at user-centric ways of working. You are a pragmatic driver that makes things happen and keeps everyone focused on the right priorities. You find ways around problems to solve the bigger issue. You are great at prioritizing, and you are demanding in your pursuit for speed and quality. You are impatient if things move slowly, yet empathic as an informal leader. You are authentic, structured, and you have seen enough to know that you are not always right. You are a team player in the true sense of the word, focused on team and business success, rather than the means to get there or who gets the credit. You don’t shy away from hard decisions or hard work. As a person, you are structured, consistent, and efficient. And, importantly, you and your team deliver great results while having fun in the process.
Home & Pro team-members are located mainly in Uppsala.
