Product Owner (Domain Integration & Release)

Arbetsbeskrivning

Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.

Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.

We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

This is us.
At Volvo Cars Connected Experience we develop next generation solution for Infotainment, connectivity, audio system and more. In the product owner area of Domain Integration and Release, we continuously integrate the different parts (ART deliveries) of the solution in our CI environment. We also test and release SW baselines in HILs and cars.

Now, we are looking for a product owner (PO) to lead, coach and further improve this area.

What will you do?
The backlog is the most important tool for you. You build, edit, and maintain the backlog with input from stakeholders. Since all Connected Experience software will pass through this product area, you will have many important connections within the solution as well as to other solutions, especially SW & Electronics Platform.

The product area consists of three teams and one Scrum Master:

Integration: Here we are using the domain CI to make sure that our frequent software deliveries do not impact the quality of the products on domain level. We are generating a lot of data that we use to visualize the status for easy decision making.

Release team is divided into two sub-teams. One is creating software baselines and test them in HILs (The HILs are part of the CI environment and maintained by the team) before release to complete vehicle testing. The other one is focusing on non-functional testing of the system in vehicles on the road to find issues and hardening quality in areas where test automation in HILs are tricky or not foreseen.

The Troika - with Scrum Master, PO and Team Manager - is working tight together to make sure the team’s daily work is going smooth.

Do you fit the profile?
You would bring experience and deep understanding in the areas of test automation, continuous integration, software quality and software development. You have an electrical automotive background and great interest in cars. You will bring leadership experience, or you have what it takes to be a leader in Volvo Cars connected to our values. You would carry a master or bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent

You have a vision on both medium and distant future. You are driven, but still pragmatic and humble to delivering ARTs challenges. You are structured but flexible when needed as well as curious to people and technology.  You are also social and humble to make the best out of people.

What do we offer?
Everything we do starts with people and we want to be the employer of choice where people make the difference. We encourage and support our people to a happy and healthy lifestyle – whether mental, physical, or social wellbeing. Therefore, we invest in our facilities, providing excellent collaboration areas, we offer both proactive health benefits and a safe working environment, and we drive an inclusive working culture where our teams have fun every day. You will be offered possibilities to develop your competence and you will have possibilities to grow your contributions in our organization over time.
