Product Owner for API and User management Team

Product Owner for API and User management Team

Arbetsbeskrivning

Work Description

As a Product Owner at APSIS you will report to the local Development Manager. This position is based at our office in Warsaw or Stockholm.

You will work closely with the Product Team (including CPO, UX, Product Design and Product marketing) and with Senior tech staff in our development organisation to define a Product Vision and Strategic roadmap for our new platform and its public-facing APIs.

You will also work independently within your Product domain to drive this roadmap forward, working on feature ideation and definition and identifying key initiatives to deliver on this Vision.

You will work on a daily basis with your development team and many stakeholders around the organisation to maximise the business value delivered. To do this, you will work closely with the Product team, but also need to speak to stakeholders all around the company to gather insight and knowledge about what our customers are looking for.

You possess a high level of hands-on experience with technology and SaaS products, particularly in aspects relating to integrations, API-based commercial products, User management and security. You have likely worked as a developer in some capacity and can speak and understand the language of developers and are familiar with both historical API design and on top of modern and upcoming API technologies.

You enjoy synthesizing knowledge collected both from day to day interactions with customers and stakeholders as well as industry research and best practices. You relish the opportunity to break big complex problems down into distinct user needs, and to formulate solutions and product functionality to meet these.

You have experience working effectively with agile software development in a DevOps environment. You have hands-on experience working with agile product backlogs, involving stakeholders and users as needed, doing hands-on story writing and grooming, running prioritisation sessions, managing planning and coordination with other teams and dependencies, and leading or participating in the staple rituals of modern software development such as daily standups, regular product demos, sprint planning, grooming sessions, etc. You will be the primary person doing this for one or more development teams.

You are a technical person who has a close familiarity with website technology, general programming, database design, cloud native architecture, distributed systems engineering challenges, security and related challenges; and you are comfortable discussing such topics to a detailed level with a development team.

Key performance indicators for this role would include customer NPS scores, revenues generated, customer onboarding success rate, etc.

Typical tasks for this role will include:

- Together with Product team, create a Product Vision and Roadmap based on business cases and input gathered from commercial stakeholders and CPO, as well as market research of your own and discussion with specialist from other teams
- Work with business and development stakeholders to formulate initiatives, detail these into features as Epics and User Stories, finding all the corner cases and coming up with solutions, surfacing and clarifying questions from the dev team.
- Proactively coordinate development and launch with all necessary stakeholders from other teams, ensuring that any dependencies are managed
- Act as subject matter expert for your product/domain, answer questions and participate in workshops with commercial organisation, drive documentation and training materials creation, and be the last-line support for any matters relating to the domain

Requirements

To succeed in this role we envision that you would possess all or most of these:

- Passion for developing products in high-tempo B2B environment
- Technical understanding of software development especially relating to API design (technologies like REST and GraphQL) and User management (e.g. OAuth). This role is not to be a lead developer or technical designer, but the role calls for being able to be the voice of the “customers” of an API -- typically developers or technical departments
- “Can-do” attitude and a strong sense of ownership, someone who will contribute in any way you can to successfully deliver product development iterations and customer success, no matter the task needed or obstacles faced
- Professional experience from agile software Product Management/Ownership at senior level and agile product development including significant experience with hands-on backlog management.
- Experience with data-intensive software systems: Marketing or communication platforms, CRMs, Web servers and content management systems, Digital Marketing Platforms, BI or Analytics, etc. Experience with integration-heavy environments a bonus.
-
- Structured and organisational, with ability to juggle many tasks in parallel, and ability to respond to changes in priorities or pick up new tasks on the spot in an agile manner
- A holistic thinker, analytical, self-motivated, proactive, solutions-oriented, willing to take ownership and drive changes without always having all the answers up front
