We will support you to reach your full potential. Join us on this exciting journey into the future.
Let's create the future together.
The future belongs to those who are empowered by a great idea and have the ability to carry it out. At Volvo Cars our purpose is to provide freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way. We believe that autonomous driving will play a key role in the future of mobility. Do you want to be part of creating a safe, reliable, and secure software platform for our self-driving cars?
The Team
At our Agile Release Train (ART) Autonomous Mobility Platform (AMP), within the department of Core System Software, we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture and develop the platform software for autonomous driving. In other words, we create the platform software for the centralized computing architecture, on which our stakeholders within and outside of Volvo Cars are building their autonomous drive features.
We are now looking for a leader to take on the role as Product Owner for one of our systemization teams and two of our platform software development teams with software engineers.
What you´ll do?
As a product owner (PO) you will own, build, prioritize, decide, and refine the stories in the team’s backlog including defects and enablers. You will participate in the development of acceptance criteria for stories and support the team with review. You will take lead in the coordination of content dependencies with other product owners and relevant stakeholders. You will also work closely with System and Solution Architect to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the key technological infrastructures.
In addition to the daily interactions with your teams where you play an important role as a servant leader, you will also be a member of the extended Product Management team and review and contribute to the program-level vision, roadmap, and content.
Do you fit the profile?
You are a customer-oriented person who enjoys being part of a high performing team where you take own initiatives and take pride in your own and the team’s deliveries. You are curious, always eager to learn and have an innovative mind-set. You embrace the agile principles and you have a continuous improvement mind-set.
We believe that you have previous experiences as a leader or architect in a software organization, or similar. You probably have previous hands on experience of working with fault tolerant, safe, and secure embedded systems from a software design perspective. You will lead teams working with for instance SW architecture, SW systemization, board bring-up, C programming, embedded programing and integration using AUTOSAR. Altogether your teams will create an automotive grade SW that meets relevant standards, e.g. cyber security, and functional safety.
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
What do we offer?
Everything we do starts with people and we want to be the employer of choice where people make the difference. We encourage and support our people to a happy and healthy lifestyle – whether mental, physical, or social wellbeing. Therefore, we invest in our facilities, providing excellent collaboration areas, we offer both proactive health benefits and a safe working environment, and we drive an inclusive working culture where our teams have fun every day.
You will be offered possibilities to develop your competence and you will have possibilities to grow your contributions in our organization over time.
Location: At ART Autonomous Mobility Platform we have a well-established and productive method for remote work. We are based in Gothenburg but also have an office in Lund. Candidates for this position should have possibility to have a somewhat regular face-to-face presence in Gothenburg and/or Lund.
