Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.
The Scania IT ILAN team delivers network services and expertise to Scania production units for the IT/OT network area. Our responsibilities span from architecture and design to daily business operation. We participate in relevant business and IT forums, working closely with production units to capture, understand and interpret business requirements into IT network infrastructure designs and solutions. The team contributes to define and maintain corporate standards and policies for the area.
We are now looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our team. In this role you will work together with the team, manage demands, prioritize the work, and plan activities and resource needs. You will be working with long-term roadmaps as well as more short-term daily operational matters.
As the product owner you will be the main speaking partner and advocate for the production business area and its different units. Within the IT organisation you will work closely with fellow product owners, architects and technicians. You will be a key player in developing the processes needed to improve our methods and services.
Your role
Among other tasks, you will work to:
• Have a good dialogue with all relevant stakeholders, participating in, or hosting yourself, the forums and meetings needed.
• Support and develop the team, making sure that they have the optimal prerequisites for high quality deliveries.
• Keep and maintain an up-to-date backlog, prioritize the team projects and activities.
• Take part in introducing agile working methods, aiming to find the best way of working for the team and with relevant stakeholders.
• Align with fellow production owners within the network and security area to have a common view of architecture, service deliveries and future roadmaps.
• Collaborate with VW and VW Group companies for the area.
Your profile
You have experience from working with technical teams, ideally within the IT/OT area. You are a leader with a good understanding of the technology area and you love working with people. If you have a background from production and/or logistic IT, it is a plus.
You have a relevant academic education or equivalent work experience for the area. You are good at documenting and are skilled in both verbal and written communication. Working globally, English is our main language and you are fluent in both written and spoken English.
You are a team player, proactive, structured and customer oriented. You do not hesitate to take initiative and ownership and you have the drive to follow activities through to get results.
