Volvo Cars have an ambition to expand our in-house software development. At the department of Core System Software, we are part of this ambition. Our teams are building the next generation high-performance in-vehicle compute cluster, designed to host different vehicle applications, stretching from basic vehicle state machines to advance active safety and unsupervised autonomous drive functionalities. This compute cluster will be launched in our coming generation of pure electric and self-driving Volvo models. Our task is to create a safe, reliable, and secure software that serve as a platform for our stakeholders and partners to deploy applications on.
Core System Platform is at the center of the transformation of VCC from a “traditional” automotive company into a powerhouse of high-complexity / high-quality software development, and your responsibilities as a product owner will include to support this transformation through your ideas, through listening to the needs of the organization, of other Product Owners and your colleagues in general, and through helping define the common direction of the Core System Platform organization. We are now looking for a leader to take on the role as Product Owner to System tests and measurements.
What you´ll do?
As a product owner (PO) you will own, build, prioritize, decide, and refine the stories in the team’s backlog including defects and enablers. You will participate in the development of acceptance criteria for stories and support the team with review. You will take lead in the coordination of content dependencies with other Product Owners and relevant stakeholders. You will also work closely with subject matter experts to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the key technological infrastructures. In addition to the daily interactions with your teams, where you play an important role as a servant leader, you will also be a member of the product management team and review and contribute to the product areas vision, roadmap, and content. You will lead teams working with testing of our system solutions, in different forms. Altogether your teams will quality assure and measure our maturity, while contributing to deliver an automotive grade SW that meets relevant standards, e.g., cyber security, and functional safety.
You and your skills
You are a customer-oriented person who enjoys being part of a high performing team where you take own initiatives and take pride in your own and the team’s deliveries. You are curious, always eager to learn and have an innovative mind-set. You embrace the agile principles and you have a continuous improvement mind-set. We believe that you have previous experiences as a leader or architect in a software organization, or similar. You probably have previous hands-on experience of working with performance testing, stability testing, test case development and/or test framework development. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
