We are looking for a Product Owner for Managed Workstation in the Digital Workplace product cluster. Managed Workstation is divided into the areas of Workstation Hardware Lifecycle Management, Print Management, Configuration Management and Virtual Workstation Management.
You get the opportunity to run a huge product team setting the roadmap, strategy, and vision for Managed Workstation within Volvo Cars. Part of the job is also to govern and develop the partnerships and related contracts with our service and hardware suppliers as well as other key stakeholders.
The Managed Workstation is in the frontline in its area when it comes to providing modern devices and peripherals combined with evergreen solutions enabling new technologies and ways of working for larger enterprises, and one of your responsibilities is to drive the area into even higher levels of cutting-edge technologies.
What you’ll do
You will be Volvo Cars Product Owner for Managed Workstation, articulating and consistently emphasizing the short- and long-term vision of the product and its services to the team and relevant stakeholders. You will own, decide, prioritize and refine the objectives and expected key outcome in the Team Backlog.
You will review and reprioritize the backlog as part of the preparatory work for increment including coordinating dependencies with other Product Owners. You will involve the team in backlog refinement to achieve minimum handover and maximum joint understanding. Moreover, you will work with Product Managers to define and maintain the roadmaps with the non-functional requirements to manage operational risks and keep our IT systems safe, modern and evergreen whilst maintainable and always on.
You will govern and be responsible for the global services providing Windows and Mac configuration management, desktop and app sessions, pull and push print-out, and a Digital Workplace product catalogue fit for purpose, use, procurement and delivery of Digital Workplace products. Furthermore, you will work with hardware lifecycle management services keeping track of the lifecycle of all our assets.
You will be the main stakeholder and work closely with our suppliers in our joint venture to develop and provide these services and managing the underlying agreements.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe you have experience of working with computer machinery hardware and virtual workstation management in larger enterprises. You have knowledge of workstation configuration management, i.e. designing, managing, and maintaining Windows/MacOS as well as Virtualization platforms to provision services in the Digital Workplace scope.
You have knowledge about hardware lifecycle management processes as well as procurement and supply chain. You are experienced in supplier management, writing service agreements and related requirements, outcome and service level targets and driving negotiations. Lastly, you have experience of agile processes (Scrum & SAFe).
