Arbetsbeskrivning
Hacksaw Studios is a company that builds online games. Our games can be played both in social gaming and real money modes. We have wide distribution and our games are played by millions of people every month by players all over the world.
We are currently looking to expand our team with a project management trainee. Your responsibility will be to oversee the development of our games and coordinate the production pipeline. For this role we are happy to accept recent graduates as long as you have a relevant education and a strong desire to learn and develop within our organization.
We offer a nice office in central Stockholm, an opportunity to work with an experienced tech team as well as a co-ownership program for suitable candidates.
Your tasks will include:
- Quickly learn how to project manage the game development process with help from the current project management team
- Work with the creative teams to generate game ideas and mechanics for new games
- Learn about the online gaming industry and stay up to date on current trends and what is popular with players
- Manage the agile development process to make sure that any blocking issues get resolved quickly
- Ensure that the finished product is as close to spec as possible
- Co-operate with colleagues with similar roles, both in-house and with our partners
This role requires that you are very organized and can keep track of all the tasks that are involved with the development process. We use a project management tool (Gitlab) to oversee our development process and you will be expected to, over time, be able to take charge of the development of the games you are assigned to and project manage the development team. You do not have to have coding experience but you must be very structured and detail oriented.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the finished product is as high as possible. This means that you must be able to co-ordinate the delivery of graphical assets from the design teams, sound and music, game information documentation as well as translations. We have in-house or outsourced partners for all of these things but you will be responsible for ensuring they come together in a timely fashion.
It would be a benefit if you have previous experience or a personal interest in the online gaming industry, but this is not a strict requirement. We will teach you the skills you need on the job but we do expect you to take personal responsibility to quickly become a subject matter expert. We value any form of university degree, especially in a technical subject matter, but if you have other competencies that make up for a lack of higher education we're open to talk.
