Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.The embedded Method development team is fresh and growing fast. Together with all co-workers involved in the embedded processes and tools, we either improve existing methods or develop new ones that are used across the organization. With a high focus on safety and quality, our aim is to increase the speed of our product development work, without jeopardizing the premium level of Scania products. The team is currently working in a modern workflow both remotely and in the office.
Your new job
As a Product Owner for Requirement Management System (RMS), you are responsible for balancing the organizational and strategic needs of the RMS methods and tool. This includes setting the priorities for the three different teams being part of developing RMS. One of the teams is working with method development for requirements and general coordination of RMS, the second working on development and implementation in the Polarion-RMS tool, and the third team consists of requirement coaches helping our different projects out.
When developing methods for requirement work you will be a part of developing our RMS which enables both requirement methods, processes, and tools.

You will be working cross-functional and cross-organizational and be involved in all project phases from early concept development onwards. You will be networking to a large extent. RMS is a significant driver of the Scania digitalization strategy.
Example of work tasks:
• Analyse stakeholder needs, prioritize and break them down into concrete work packages that can be assigned to the different teams within RMS. Typical stakeholders to RMS are product development (PD) projects and regulation & standard owners.
• Contribute to the development of the Scania digitalization initiatives by making RMS an important piece of the puzzle that enables a digitalized toolchain. This includes close collaboration with Product Owners responsible for other parts of the method & toolchain
• Establish a set of requirements on our requirements tool in order to ensure a sustainable and maintainable requirements tool at Scania. Also, you will be responsible for ensuring that the RMS tool fulfills our own requirements.
• Continuously develop our requirements methods and process
Through these tasks, you will establish a broad cross-functional network where collaboration is the key to success. Therefore your leadership skills are of great importance and will be developed in the role.
Your Profile
We are looking for a person with knowledge and practical experience from requirement work in product development projects. Experience from Scania’s embedded system development is meritorious but not a must. If you have a history of similar work in other industries such as train, aviation, medical, etc. your experience and knowledge are of high value to us. We have an open atmosphere when it comes to expressing opinions, and we encourage our employees to act with integrity in order to feel proud of what we deliver and take responsibility for what we do.
Your ability to see the whole picture and how different parts within the Requirements Engineering domain depend on each other will be an asset in this role. At the same time, you see the importance of getting things right and working meticulously with details. Solving complicated and complex matters are part of your background, preferably from safety-critical embedded system development.
As a person, you are curious and truly interested in other people’s opinions to understand the needs of different roles. You value collaborations and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Good skills in presenting your work result to stakeholders and also documenting technical instructions and guidelines.
Knowledge in Cyber Security (UN-ECE R155) and Functional Safety (ISO 26262) is meritorious.
