We are looking for an experienced Product Owner that can join a team of business professionals that work with applying EU’s new open banking requirements. About this opportunity
Nordea Open Banking provides an industry leading API platform and develops and operates APIs to serve customers’ needs of financial services in many different channels and for different use cases. We provide payments and account information services through Application Programming Interfaces that are required by the Payment Service Directive 2. We play a central role in Nordea to comply with new regulations in the Financial Data and Payment Package where the bank will build new services, further enhance the platform capabilities and support new product areas to expose data externally.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Product Owner you have the business responsibility for development teams and lead the work for a specific area or product to achieve our business goals. You’ll play a valuable role by being the bridge between business and IT as the product expert - defining and prioritising the teams backlog by translating the regulatory requirement, take in the needs of the various consumers and product areas to define with the team what should be done.
In the role you will work with both internal and external stakeholders, such as internal product units providing key components of the end service, the support and sales unit to provide product expertise, external consumers such as developers, fintech’s, big companies and institutions to ensure they can use our services.
You’ll join a Nordic team of experiences business people where the role is based in Stockholm, Oslo or Helsinki.

Your experience and background:
For the role you need work experience and knowledge in business, experience from working with corporate customer solutions or payment services and by so have a proven understanding of industry trends and customer needs. Understanding both from a technical and business angle is a prerequisite and naturally an advantage if you have a conceptual understanding of API’s.
It is a must to have an academic degree within business or IT and a valid work permit in the country of employment. The position requires that you have confident communication in English, spoken and written to be able to communicate complex messages and constructively challenge and guide stakeholders.
