Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.
About us
Service Operations is a function responsible for making life less complicated for our consumers when they need support, maintenance or repair of their car. We provide efficient, desired and sustainable solutions and concepts for our service providers worldwide. Our products are designed to enable an effortless experience for both our consumers as well as our service providers. This responsibility goes all the way from creation of new solutions and products to secure implementation in the markets.
We are now looking for a Product Owner for our UX teams, a core enabler for understanding the user needs as well as make an impact in how to design both our future cars and most importantly - the future aftermarket products we develop.
About the role
As Product Owner, you’ll be deciding upon priorities in the backlog from a technical and business perspective and continuously keep open dialogues with stakeholders. You will take responsibility for creating, refining and follow up on features and coordinating the dependencies to other teams.
As Product Owner you need deep interest in the reality of our users – both the consumers buying mobility from us as well as the technicians working at various service providers using our aftermarket products. A strategic mindset and ability to inspire and motivate the teams working towards a common goal will help you succeed in this assignment. As a Product Owner you secure that we have the right prerequisites to create a better user experience every day.
To succeed in this role, we believe you need a passion for understanding the user but also developing new solutions together with others, enjoy empowering people and embrace an agile mindset and culture.
What you’ll do

Alignment with your peers as well as the solution- and program managers within Service Operations is also part of the regular work.
You will be a member of our leader team where other Team Managers, Product Owners and Architects work together. We believe that we are stronger as a team of leaders than individuals and we share the responsibility of developing both our products and our teams together.
You and your skills
We believe you have education and/or experience from previous work within the field of UX– as methodology, tools and strategies.
Good knowledge about aftermarket business in the automotive industry is an asset. Since we have both consumers and service providers present globally, experience and network from retails outside of Sweden is meritorious
You enjoy the complexity of the ongoing commercial transformation, and you have a passion for how the problems of our stakeholders can be translated into product backlogs, new solutions and releases that fit with the greater good.
You have both passion and drive for understanding, communicating and building trust with stakeholders internally but also in the Digital and R&D departments, and different commercial communities, internally and externally.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
You already have leadership experience – preferrable from automotive industry - and are used to define objectives and has developed effective ways to explain “The Why” and to motivate people.
Since Volvo Cars and your teams are working in an agile setup, experience and good understanding of agile principles and frameworks as well as agile way of working is mandatory for this role.
You as a person
As a person, you are passionate about developing your team members to become the best version of themself. You are inclusive, communicative, team oriented and customer focused. You are curious and have the desire to continuously search for new knowledge and ideas to develop into solutions.
