Candela’s ultimate purpose is to speed up the transition to fossil fuel-free lakes and oceans. We strive to re-think efficiency in marine transportation to radically push the performance boundaries of electric boats and ships.
By combining sensors, computers and advanced submerged hydrofoils, our electric craft fly above the water, reaching speeds and range previously attained only by fossil fuel powerboats.
After launching Candela C-7, Europe’s currently best-selling electric boat, we launched Candela C-8 in August 2021, the first electric boat intended for high volume production. We are also venturing into public transport with the revolutionary foiling P-30 ferry, built for the city of Stockholm.
We are now looking for a Product Owner Visuals to support Candela’s growth ambitions.
Core responsibilities
This role is a part of a product team, which has a joint responsibility for the product vision, roadmap and finding business opportunities. You will be in charge of the overall look and feel of Candela products. You will take lead on keeping a cohesive design language for exterior and interior design, UX design, Manuals Design look and feel. Also supporting production with running changes and product care.
You will work closely with design, marketing and the development team. This means planning and prioritizing product features and continuously developing the product.
As Product Owner Visuals, you’ll be deciding upon priorities in the backlog from a design, technical and business perspective and continuously keep open dialogues with stakeholders. You will take responsibility for creating, refining, following up on features and coordinating the dependencies with other teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvements of the consumer experience
- Manage goal conflicts and operational challenges. Be the escalation point for all such issues.
- Supporting the team in understanding the features
- Coordinating requirements and necessary changes to third parties, internal and external
- Prioritize the items in the feature backlog to match the overall roadmap and the stakeholder’s needs
- Identify and solve dependencies with other product owners to ensure efficient delivery
- Preparing requirements based on input from your business stakeholders. Be able to define a problem, understand the users and work on a solution based on this
Your profile
- Degree in Design, UX or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a Design domain, preferably from a similar role
- Proven experience of working with product development
- A customer centric mindset, passionate about design and technology, always curious to learn
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and stakeholders
- You are a fast learner of new things and dare to take up challenges and tackle difficult problems
- You have a love and understanding of color

This is a full-time position at our Headquarter at Frihamnen, Stockholm. Working language is English, if you also know Swedish it will be a benefit for yourself, but it is not a prerequisite for the role.
