THE ROLE - WHAT WE NEED

As Product Owner, you will be the COO of a suite of mostly web-based tools used to manage the iOS-based Yabie POS. These Behind-the-Scenes tools are used by our customers as well as by resellers and ourselves. To us, these tools are an integral part of our mission to simplify sales for small and medium-sized merchants, most of them with zero patience for technical complexity. That means that our tools need to be quick, intuitive and smooth. We’re not there yet, and that’s why we would love to have you on our team.

Working with our Chief Product Officer and with invaluable real-world input from a team of industry veterans, you define the roadmap and break it down into well-defined features and tasks. You’ll work hands-on with our talented team of developers, UX and QA to further define features and work out the plans for how and when to get them built.

During the development phase you will be key to ensure that the teams continuously have the information they need to deliver on your groundwork. When development is done you help coordinate the release and work with our sales and partner teams in their quest to communicate the value of what you and the rest of the team have created.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS - WHO YOU ARE

- Experience in software development environments, working closely with cross functional development teams. You may or may not have an engineering background, the important thing is that you’re comfortable with how day-to-day modern software development works.
- Hands-on experience in digital product development, whether as a product owner, product manager, project manager or similar
- Clarity in speech, writing and - if that’s your thing - sketching things out. Almost every aspect of your job will depend on your ability to make yourself clear, whether you’re asking questions, discussing problems or expressing requirements.
- A big heart for small business. Most of our customers are small. They have small business struggles. They’re individuals, not organizations. Respecting and empathizing with these individuals is a must for your ability to do this job well.
- Natural people and team skills. Your job puts you in the middle. Your work will create lots of product output, but you won’t get anything done without working with everyone else. We think that you genuinely enjoy collaborating with other people, and that you can do so smoothly while maintaining your ability to say no when required - to anyone in the company!
- You need to speak and write English very well as many of our employees are not Swedish speakers. Fluent Swedish is a very big plus.
- Experience from the Point-Of-Sales industry or payments/fintech in general is a big plus

There are also possibilities to work at our Eskilstuna office.
