Description
The client is now looking for a Product Owner for their team. The team is a platform engineering team which provides capabilities to enable the various software engineering teams. They enable them to build cloud-native solutions with great developer experience and provide them with a platform to innovate.
The capabilities include:
- Cloud Platform: Building and maintaining an enterprise-grade cloud platform which is used by various software engineering teams.
- Builder’s Library: Enabling software engineering teams to take end to end ownership of their tech-stack by providing them with reference implementations and best practice guides.
- Developer Tools: Managing several developer tools which materializes into great developer experience.
Work tasks:
- Communicate with various internal stakeholders like other leads, product owners, senior management to understand the organizational business and technical objective.
- Make sure that the goals are aligned with the organizational business and technical objective.
- Help define a high-level roadmap based on the vision and the goal.
- Help define success for the team.
- Create and manage backlog based on overall strategy and business as well as technical objectives.
- Understand high level business and technical requirement and translate that into stories and tasks.
- Prioritize backlogs based on evolving requirement.
- Use backlog as a live document during communication with stakeholder.
- Help define OKRs for the team.
- Based on high level understanding of the team and the product help define Objectives and Key Results for the team.
- Represent team to senior management and in other forums with OKR Metrices.
- Act as a primary liaison between product teams, management and CDX Team.
- Make sure there are buy-ins from various stakeholders in all major decisions.
- Make sure team members have clear instructions regarding deliverables.
Mandatory competence and experience:
- Excellent communication skills along with negotiation and convincing skills.
- Great interpersonal, conflict management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of working with Agile Methodology.
- Experience with project management and prioritizing backlogs.
- Nice to have an understanding of Platform Engineering and Software Development areas.
