Job Description


Do you want to lead a team of highly skilled engineers and transform how we derive value from our data assets? We are now looking for a Product Owner to our Common Tools and Services team within the Analytics and Data Platforms product area.
As a Product Owner, you will take responsibility for a product team building services around data and analytical processing, leveraging cloud services as an accelerator. The Common Tools and Services team’s mission is to increase data quality awareness by building an engineering community around developer tools, automation and monitoring. You will help the H&M group to derive the most of our data assets - with ultimate accountability for the business and customer value it delivers.
To do this, you will lead a cross-functional, multi-competence product team in close collaboration with key stakeholders, always keeping customers at the heart of our focus. You will define the strategic vision for your team and create the product roadmap based on a deep understanding of the market / industry, emerging technologies within the field of data & analytics, insights & data on your customers, and input from stakeholders across the company.
Working closely with the Product Area Manager and other Product Owners to ensure overall alignment, you will set objectives & key results that your product will drive toward. You will also identify, build, and manage strategic partnerships across products, working to manage dependencies. Finally, you will play a key role in the Business Tech transformation, by assessing gaps and improving team composition, agile ways-of-working, technical backlog, and relationship with surrounding teams, always with support of the product area leadership.

Focus is on value creation, growth, and serving customers with full ownership and accountability to deliver exceptional customer and business results. Furthermore, you will:
Drive our tech-oriented Common Tools & Services team in supporting other teams within the AI, Analytics and Data domain
Take end-to-end ownership of products and services (full lifecycle from ideation to optimization) with ultimate accountability for delivering value
Providing vision and direction to the agile development team and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
A hands-on leader with a solid development background and interest in learning and adapting new technologies
Set ambitious and clear product mission and OKRs and translate these into a prioritized roadmap and team backlog that drive agreed KPIs
Ensure that offered products and services are relevant and supporting our long-term architecture, by actively working together with the team and the architectural community
Lead a cross-functional team to execute and deliver value. Maintain an in-depth understanding of market / industry landscape, emerging technologies in cloud and automation field
Clearly communicating the teams’ products and services offerings, OKRs, and backlogs across the organization
Translate customer needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their product
Define MVPs, manage product backlog priorities, and strategically drive product and service development

Things we look for
Hands-on software development and programming skills eg. Python, Java
Excellent collaboration skills within and outside the product team
Experience in software engineering, leveraging cloud technologies (GCP and Azure)
Experience in setting up 24x7 offerings together with external service partners
Experience from working with technologies and paradigms eg.: Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible and CI/CD
Proven track record of delivering great results in service-oriented products and initiatives
Around 5 year’s work experience with previous leader experience
Strong in planning, prioritizing, execution, and follow up together with a “can-do attitude”
Motivated to work in an environment that allows you to work and take decisions independently
It is beneficial if you have previous experience from working within the data analytics and AI domain
A degree in engineering or equivalent
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
