Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
The Diagnostics and Software Update called Value Creation Team (VCT), has gathered diagnostic competence into one common flow in order to further extract the possibilities within the area. Our objectives span from developing and delivering world class software components and applications used by R&D, Service Market and Production to creating harmonized diagnostic standards for the entire Traton group. This creates several interesting interfaces both within Scania and also towards other Traton brands. If you are interested to influence how we create and handle our diagnostic data and also interested to explore new ways to create future business using this data, this is the place to be!
The section has implemented SAFe as our way of working and is looking for a Product Owner to help us drive our product area "Diagnostic Platform". To be able to succeed, you will work together with other Product Owners and the Product Manager within the VCT and also have close communication with the Architect Forum and the development teams.
Your mission here with us
To make sure we have the best diagnostic platform supporting both product development within R&D as well as Production and Service Market.
You will contribute with a holistic view ensuring that decisions and direction is for the good of our customers/users. Your main tasks will stretch from ensuring the product backlog to act as an object lead in ongoing projects. You will be part of the diagnostics product management tribe where you implement the process of prioritisation of PI goals and objectives.
You will make sure that our initiatives (research, project, improvements, incidents) have a plan forward so you will need look at several horizons.
Who we think you are
We are looking for an experienced developer/engineer with good structure and communication skills. Alternatively an experienced Product Owner with the genuine interest to thrive in the diagnostic domain. You like to see things get done and you enjoy creating common goals. Agile development, continuous deployment and integration is well known to you.
You most likely have a formal degree in engineering physics, electrical engineering or computer science, or the equivalent experience. In addition we think you have at least 5 years’ experience working with technical products. Knowledge of the areas of diagnostics / SW applications / connectivity and/or the electrical system of (heavy) vehicles is a great advantage for this role.
