Our team, Systems Safety, is responsible for judging the system safety in the vehicle embedded system. The definition of Safety includes traffic safety, safe functions/systems, safe degradation and functional safety. We stand before the challenge to create the Scania future embedded system. To be able to do this we need to provide a wise systemization and also safety systems and functions without impairing availability and Scania Quality.

As a method developer and product owner of Requirement Management System (RMS), you are responsible for developing and providing a methodology for requirement handling to development teams and other decision-makers. Together we develop our skills and share knowledge to create outstanding solutions.

Your new job

You will be working cross-functional and cross-organizational and be involved in all project phases from early concept development and onwards. You will be networking to a large extent. RMS is a significant driver of the Scania digitalization strategy.

Examples of daily tasks:


• Plan and share the tasks within the RMS team
• Gather needs from Stakeholders (projects, users, regulatory needs, etc.)
• Define the requirements on the requirement management tool
• Improve our user’s ability to work efficiently with requirements
• Provide education material
• Continuously improve our way of working within the area of requirement handling


Through these tasks, you will establish a broad cross-functional network where collaboration is the key to success. Therefore your leadership skills are of great importance and will be developed in the role. To succeed in this we embrace diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. Your Profile

We think you are experienced in documenting technical instructions and guidelines. You also appreciate inspiring and educating your network within the area of requirement management. Solving complicated and complex matters are part of your background, preferably from safety-critical system development.

You have at least 5 years of safety-related work within embedded systems, from automotive or other safety-critical industries. Maybe as a system/function owner. If you have experience from Scania or TRATON group it’s meritous. Since you will be working in a global environment you express yourself fluently, both in speech and writing, in English.

You appreciate tasks where you can use your strategic overview and your values to guide others in doing what’s right. Communication and collaboration are important factors that make you thrive in your position.
