Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Autonomous vehicle development at Scania is advancing at an extremely high pace and self-driving trucks and buses on public roads will soon become exposed. Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Research at Scania is responsible for developing, testing, and piloting future autonomous concepts. This work is done using agile and self-steered teams with the ambition to detect and evaluate upcoming technologies and prepare these for industrialization.
We are now looking for two experienced Product Owners to strengthen our teams around data. This to create valuable and earily consumable of information from operational data and enabling more accessible analytics.
About the Teams
Autonomous Asset Data consists of two groups:
• Data Infrastructure team
Responsible to build the platform to be able to connect and transform data from Scania’s autonomous vehicle and other data sources.
• Data Management team
Provide vital service to analysts, data scientists, and everyone who uses data-based insights in their work.
The team’s mission is to enable Scania Autonomous and our users to make collaborative decisions through data and insight. This is through centralizing the data and decentralizing its usage. The volume and variety of data we are dealing with are growing rapidly. The teams consist of people from various backgrounds, so you will be collaborating with a diverse group; we work closely with our Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers. We have solved many technical challenges, but we have many more left to tackle to achieve our mission.
About the role
We are looking for two Product Owners for our Data teams, who are a part of the section Autonomous Continuous Integration Platform. Our section enables engineering productivity for the whole department and the section is constantly growing.
The team is on a development journey to be a high-performing team that shares a common vision, goals, and metrics. We collaborate and hold each other accountable to achieve outstanding results. The base should be open communication, trust, and care about each other.
The Product Owner leads our developers and engineers to build the platform to be able to connect and transform data from Scania’s autonomous vehicle and other data sources. The highest goal is to interact with stakeholders and aid them in the self-service data-driven journey.
What you’ll do
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their business and technical needs, and build/manage the team backlog from stakeholder’s requirements
• Create business outcomes and complete offers with a strategic mindset and strong analytical skills
• With broad knowledge create strategies leveraging Cloud
• Create high-quality deliverables, including requirements and technical specifications that define and support the deliveries
• Build team roadmap and vision, to support higher-level roadmap and vision
• Prioritize and manage backlogs. As well as communicate the product vision and backlog items.
What you’ll need
• Project management skills including creating, managing, maintaining, and communicating product plans to stakeholders at all levels throughout the entire process
• As a person, you are structured but can handle ad hoc initiatives and changed conditions, and short deadlines.
• Understanding of the Lean-Agile practices, values, and principles
• Accountable for securing delivery of appropriate, secure, and reliable services throughout the life cycle in accordance with internal and external regulations and standards.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field alternative equivalent work experience
• Excellent communication skills at all levels and fluency in English (spoken and written)
