Product Platform Haulers Leader Laws & Regulat

General: Product Platform Hauler has a global responsibility for the complete articulated hauler including quality, cost and feature level. This includes for example specification of product targets, concept evaluation and selection, new functionality development, specification and follows up of sub system requirements to meet product targets and to lead early phases from Feasibility Study to Concept Gate. The Hauler Platform is facing many new challenges and therefore we need to strengthen our department with an additional Leader Laws & regulations to be able to meet these challenges. As Leader Laws & Regulations you will serve as the interface between the departments Laws & Regulations, Technology Platform and Advanced Engineering, identify laws and regulations that affects the hauler product and together with other functions interpret the laws and regulations. Main Responsibilities: Manage and follow up safety and environmental reviews Manage and drive homologation and certification activities Interpret regulations with reference to Hauler product application Provide the Hauler Product Platform Council with decision bodies to confirm legal compliance. Take an active part in the Legal Compliance group Be a member of the Volvo CE Safety Council Participate in the Product Safety Committee Confirm legal compliance of the Operators Manual Serve as interface between Laws & Regulations and Technology Platform and Advanced Engineering. Participate in product portfolio planning process and support ongoing product development. Compile documentation regarding with reference to laws & regulations State verification method to confirm compliance Take part in verification to confirm applicable and future known regulations Update the Operators Manual Competence: Master of science in engineering or equivalent experience Good knowledge in Systems Engineering, requirements setting and quality assurance Good technical knowledge of the end product and its sub-systems (electronics, engine, drive train, hydraulics, CAB, structures, exterior, installation) and how the subsystem should work together Knowledge in applications and marketing conditions for the end product Customer focus Self-motivated and able to manage time and prioritize work load Experience from Project Management. Experience from Product Development Leadership skills Good communication skills Proficient in written and spoken English
