We are now looking for a:

Product Quality Engineer

As a Product Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the quality control and warranty related failures or rejects of all Alpine products that will be delivered to the customers.


Essential duties and responsibilities:

Fault diagnostics, hardware investigation, self-diagnostic issues and working with customers to complete analysis of returned parts and identify liability or root cause.
Interfacing with Head Office on failure issues, ensuring good communication and understanding of all system level issues.
Bench testing and investigation of returned products.
Working with customers to test and identify root cause and liability.
Visiting customer factories to provide first level analysis of reported reject parts.
Generate customer reports/presentations and support meetings at all levels with the Customer;
Manage the laboratory for analysis and testing of units.
Perform ordering of consumables for Quality Department usage.
Supporting the Initiation of containment action where necessary at both the Customer and Alpine affected sites;
Support in Initiating GCAs with Customer concern details;
Responsible for ensuring all Calibration of Equipment is performed for equipment in his area.


Skills:

A university education in engineering, computing, software or similar field and a minimum of five years work experience.
Automotive Electronics knowledge
APQP, PPAP working knowledge.
Electronics Fault Finding Experience and PCB manufacturing/assembly experience
Detailed Mechanical fault finding knowledge
Six Sigma trained.
Knowledge of hardware design and modules such as tuner, CD/DVD mechanism,circuit design and layout.
Knowledgeof Quality Tools e.g. includes 8D's, 5Y's and Ishikawa.
Customer facing experience and good communications skills
Experiences of management are advantageous.
You speak English, both spoken and written
Driving license
