As a Product Quality Leader, you will hold a strategic and important role belonging to the department Quality and Customer Satisfaction, Complete Vehicle within Group Trucks Technology. Our teams have the overall responsibility for initiating all short-term quality improvements and influencing long term projects to deliver the right quality level.


You will be part of a result-oriented team of highly motivated persons that strives to make a difference for the end customer and achieves this by promptly addressing and resolving customer issues, often in direct contact with dealers and end customers.


As a team we are continuously improving our deliveries and way of working.


What will you do?
Detect quality problems to be solved and reduce the vehicle downtime​. As a PQL you will lead the work within the issue detection and pre-study area. We want to detect and protect the customer before the issue becomes evident for them.


You will use several different sources of information to identify which are the issues that are affecting our customers the most and you will help to prioritize them, perform pre-investigations, and secure that appropriate corrective actions are taken together with the Product Owners.


As a PQL you will ensure communication on product quality and customer satisfaction within Volvo GTT and to all our stakeholders.

You are a person with a great communication and presentation skills who can communicate on different levels and with different kind of people. Your persistence makes you accomplish objectives despite obstacles and setbacks. You have a deep technical interest and are willing to learn more about our products and their application. You are independent and result-oriented, but at the same time a team player. You consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances, not afraid to use facts to demand action from line functions. The successful candidate will show a winning attitude and strong track record and references.

Required Qualifications
Education:
Master or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent technical university degree



Experience - Work:
>7 years of technical work in relevant areas
Proven ability in communication, adjusting content and style to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders
Experience in vehicles development and vehicles product know-how
Experience in operating effectively even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear



Knowledge:
Strong knowledge in database and data visualization applications such as Excel and Power BI
Communication, ability to provide information regarding tasks, plans, schedule, strategies and org structure to stakeholders, ability to communicate with many people and functions using oral as well as other presentation skills
Team building, ability to encourage and enable people to work together as a team to accomplish the project
Effective decision making, ability to identify key issues & problems and pick the best choice among alternatives, ability to make timely decisions and to take action reflective of business objectives



Technical skills:
Product and system/application knowledge
Knowledge in relevant Volvo processes: Analyze and Solve Customer Product Issues (CPI), Agile work method
Good Customer and Market application understanding
Systems knowledge is a big plus in following: JIRA, KOLA, IMPACT, ARGUS, QRAFT, FQA, EDB, VDB, VDA, LVD, UCHP
