About the job
We are now looking for an experienced Product Quality Manager to succeed at Polarium, a multicultural company with high growth targets, the candidate needs to thrive in a fast-moving environment. This role works closely with many colleagues within the Polarium Group and will manage product quality. This is a management role without any reports. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and leadership skills are essential to succeed in this fast-paced role. We expect the right candidate to drive the development of the product quality processes together with the rest of the team.
The position is based at the Polarium HQ in Kista. Business trips are required to our manufacturing sites, sometimes on short notice.
The role has two major areas to cover:
Quality Assurance of Product Development Process
The Product Quality Managers are involved from the start of the product development, via new product introduction and initiates the start of the quality work in volume production (yield, product improvements, process improvements). The role monitors and continuously leads the product quality until the end of the product life cycle. Initially, the role will have emphasis on new product introduction.
The Product Quality Manager is the interface between Design and Manufacturing. As Polarium Group’s manufacturing is expanding, a future responsibility will be to manage product transfer to other sites globally.
Driver of Problem Solving through 8D process
The Product Quality Managers are team leaders of the 8Ds related to product quality within Polarium.
Responsibilities:
Cooperate with the local teams all in quality related issues for products made by Polarium manufacturing sites. This person will need to develop a close working relationship with the colleagues in manufacturing as well as Product Owners.
Be the link between the Polarium Product Development Process and Manufacturing Process to ensure that Polarium products are manufactured in accordance with specifications and meet Polarium and/or customer standards.
Lead 8D process related to product quality non-conformances.
Together with the local teams use production and manufacturing repair data to monitor, control and improve product quality.
Help develop and execute product quality plans and systems, and manage quality.
Perform audits at the manufacturing sites to ensure compliance to Polarium and/or customer specification, quality standards and SOPs.

- Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
- Willingness to travel to our manufacturing sites locations on a regular basis
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
M.sc Engineering
Required experience:
Solid technical experience (quality and/or engineering) supporting volume electronics
Solid experience in product quality management and systems/or operations
Solid understanding of electronic assembly processes and testing methodologies
Working knowledge of statistics, and in-depth knowledge of quality methodologies, statistical process control, sampling strategies, DFMEA, PFMEA, FAI, SPVR.
Working knowledge of 8D methodology, including quality tools such as Ishikawa and 5Whys
Knowledge in data analysis and interpretation. Proficiency in excel.
Written and verbal fluency in English required.
Preferred experience:
Specific knowledge of key technologies used in batteries
Experience with cosmetic quality management

The Quality & Sustainability team of 6 people. We are highly skilled specialists within Quality Management, Continuous Improvement and Sustainability strategy. We come from Brazil, India, Mexico and the Nordics.
The team has today one Product Quality Manager and this role will be the second one.
