Planning, Purchasing and Product & Solutions Development is an organization of around 600 skilled and engaged people. The Function Portfolio Planning and Range Management (PPR) is now looking for a Product Range Manager.
This is a new role and your positive attitude, technical experience and excellent communication skills will be key assets for us since you will “be in the driving seat” of forming the role and optimizing the way of working with Product Road Maps and platform strategies. As a Range Manager you will work cross functionally not only within Volvo Penta, but also within and outside the Volvo Group to identify possibilities and synergies to maximize long term business value.
Key Responsibilities
As Product Range Manager you will have the following key responsibilities.
Develop product roadmaps and platform strategies
Develop the total product offering together with Product Management Industrial and Marine
Optimize the project and product portfolio
Be the main interface with Volvo Group functions regarding product roadmaps & product strategy
Communicate, create visibility and transparency, and optimize way of working around project portfolio and product roadmaps
Competence Profile
Product development and/or Product planning experience within control systems, electronics, software, connectivity and/or autonomous driving areas
High ability to lead and coordinate cross functional work
Excellent communication and presentation skills. You can easily reach across functions processes and organization when needed
Project management experience from Volvo Group is a beneficial merit
