Requirement Engineering at Range & Product Engineering is looking for an additional Product Requirement Specialist to support the development and verification process with identification, documentation and interpretation of relevant national and international regulations and standards applicable for the IKEA Home Smart range.
As a Product Requirement Specialist you are responsible to develop and document correct, clear, relevant and receiver-oriented product requirements, creating pre-requisites for a safe and compliant range. You are responsible to influence relevant new and existing legislations, regulations and standards in accordance with the IKEA way of influencing market requirements while you develop and maintain a network of stakeholders in external alliances and standardization organizations.
You will work closely to different product development and product engineering teams. You need good insight into the evolving IKEA Home Smart range and the standards and regulations related to these product types. You will work with requirements related to both new and complex product types as well as with improvements to the running range. Depending on the demands on the Requirement Engineering team, your area of responsibility might vary and you will have the possibility to engage in and broaden your knowledge in other requirement areas as well.
Qualifications
You have a University Degree in Engineering or similar experience from working with product development and/or creating and documenting product requirements as well as knowledge of certification and testing at 3rd party test laboratories.
Previous experience from participation in local or international standardization activities is a bonus, as well as an understanding of requirements related to Internet of Things and Cyber Security.
You have good communication skills and the ability to take the lead in your own work as well as in your contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
You have the ability to analyze, assess, interpret complex subjects and identify needed actions, while translating these complex issues into simple language.

The position is permanent and located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
