Job Description
We are looking for you who have good and solid knowledge of product laws and standards and certification schemes, based upon several years of working with legal requirements and standards applicable on above mentioned areas, and you are familiar how requirements is developed. You need to have good insight into specifications and test methods and keep updated on changes in legislation and other external requirements that may influence the product areas under your responsibility.
We´d like to see you are not afraid to show your face (on screen or off) and be heard, as in this role you will lead trainings and information distribution of Mechanical & physical product requirements to the entire IKEA product development organization. A network of 100 (and more) colleagues, all waiting for you to translate complex regulations into simple common language, so they can develop products that comply.
When you are saying that you know about the ways in which legislation and standards for this area are being developed and maintained, and how they are applied in product development, you know what you are talking about. This due that you are having a background from coating industry, test laboratory or has actively worked with standardisation. It´s all about having a lot of energy and experience in providing support to an organisation regarding competence development activities and implementation of product requirements.
Qualifications
We believe that you are a highly committed and self-driven person, who has a solid industrial experience from the field of sanitary appliances and construction products. You have experience of solutions and knowledge in materials such as ceramics, stainless steel, and plastics, as well as a background in regulatory work and test & certification on a global market. You have a university degree in engineering or equivalent job-related experience. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills and the ability to create confidence and build relations in your contacts with internal and external stakeholders. You have experience from product development, quality management and probably supply chain and production knowledge, and are skilled in requirement management and verification planning.
IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and you need to be fluent in English, both verbal and written.
