To secure compliance as well as safe products, from a chemical perspective, we are now looking for a Product Requirement Specialist (PRS) for Voatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions from products.
Job Description
As a PRS with a focus VOC from products, you will provide specialist support within this area of competence. Together with colleagues and stakeholders, you will set the pre-conditions to secure safe products that comply with market requirements and that fulfil or even exceed customer expectations in all our markets. You will monitor regulatory movements, and also scientific data, on formaldehyde and other VOC. Furthermore you will secure that the product requirements are documented and communicated in a clear and simple way.
More specifically you will:
Influence current or upcoming regulations for prioritised areas
Support the organisation with competence development activities and implementation of product requirements
Share your competence, experience and learnings with colleagues
Build and grow an internal and external network needed to succeed in your assignment
Qualifications
We are looking for you who know how to navigate in a complex international organisation, where you take lead and the responsibility within your assignment. You have a university degree within the area of Chemistry, Environmental science, Biology or similar, and have experience from regulatory and product requirement/compliance-related work. Your knowledge in the main relevant regulations for formaldehyde (CARB, EPA TSCA Title VI, REACH etc) is solid. Preferably we see that you have knowledge in chemical risks related to various materials, such as wood-based materials and foam. As a communicator, you are able to reach out to experts and non-experts, in a clear and simple way. You are driven by a strong curiosity and have a desire to find better ways together with others, always with the business and our customers in focus. Since we are working in an international environment you need to be strong in communicating in English. Ability to work in a structured way is a pre-condition and of course acting and leading according to the IKEA values.
