Overview
We are searching for a Product Safety Specialist specialized in toxicology to join the Product Safety Team.
The Product Safety Specialist is, within assigned projects/activities, responsible to support and assess better, safe and environmentally sound products, processes and services that meet consumer and customer needs as well as support SCA with creating value and reducing risk.
The Product Safety Specialist will report in to the Product Safety Manager and the role will be located in Gothenburg.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Perform product safety assessments of hygiene raw materials, finished products and merchandise
Perform risk assessments of impact of relevant production process on product safety
Build an updated competence and knowledge regarding product safety and spread the knowledge within SCA
Provide support to SCA organization on hygiene raw materials, finished products and merchandise
Actively participate in answering customer and consumer safety questions
Be updated on all product safety relevant support systems and tools
Required Education & Experience
MSc or equivalent in relevant subject (e. g. Chemistry, Toxicology, Pharmacology and similar)
3-5 years of experience in relevant product safety field
Minimum 10 credits on university level in human toxicology or equivalent
Fluent in English, both written and oral
Key competencies & Leadership capabilities
Proven good knowledge in safety assessments and product safety approvals
Good knowledge of chemicals, toxicology, legislation and sustainability
Good knowledge of hygiene and suppliers production and technologies as well as materials, chemicals and products
Good understanding of the whole value supply chain (including suppliers), production, development and marketing.
Is action oriented and pursues tasks with energy and a drive for valuable results.
Leads by example, acts with integrity and is loyal to decisions and acts as a team player
Creates and environment for innovation and shares best practices
Strong problem solving, analytical skill and methodology knowledge
Good communication ability, adapting the message to the competence level of the audience/target group
