What you will be a part of
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aero structures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter. We are around 25 designated people marketing and selling Gripen Systems on the world market together with our Market Areas. Our department, Marketing and Sales Support, is organized within the Gripen Business Unit and works closely with personnel from other departments in country teams focused on selling Gripen to new customers.
Your role
As Product Sales Responsible you will work in close cooperation with Market Area´ Customer Sales Responsible (CSR) through the whole Winning Business process, from initial contacts, during business development and offering to negotiations and signing of contracts.
You will be responsible for all Aeronautics activities and you will manage and lead one or more of our country teams in Linköping. Your first prospect will probably be in Asia and travel to Asia will then be a part of your daily work.
One key aspect is interfacing very closely with the Market Area (MA) to ensure the optimum possibility to sell Gripen and be a front figure for Gripen in the region.
You will also be a part of other tasks in the department such as creating marketing messages, business intelligence, and of course representing Saab and Gripen in several different contexts.
Your skills and experience
We believe that you have excellent knowledge of the Gripen System, how you operate Gripen and how the Gripen System can be utilized to develop our customers’ needs in other areas such as industrial development. You should have a good level of experience in working within a sales and marketing landscape and have global business knowledge along with experience from working in an international and multi-cultural environment. Top class communication and presentation skills and the ability to demonstrate leadership is imperative.
You have a business or marketing university degree or experience of marketing and sales of products acquired by foreign authorities. You should also have documented skills in leadership.
You shall have the ability to combine strategic thinking with operational actions. You like to work in a complex environment, have a pragmatic view and enjoy working hard under intense periods.
