We are now looking for a Product Specialist to join our Product Specialist team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Product Specialist for Axis accessory products you will work closely with the product manager, managing the life of existing products and providing valuable input to the definition of new ones. Some Axis accessories are developed in our own projects, where you will be expected to provide expert input on customer needs, as well as represent product management with technical input. Many other accessory products are in-sourced from external suppliers, and here you will have contacts with other companies worldwide. You will also be responsible for handling the complex support cases escalated from our local support teams worldwide. Your work can be divided into four general areas:

* Drive competence in our support flow by: Create training materials, create technical documentation and take part in education.
* Solve customer cases: Solve and prioritize support cases of a high complexity, either on your own, or in close cooperation with Axis engineers or external suppliers.
* Take part in the development of new products, as an expert on customer needs, expectations and technical requirements.
* Maintain and develop product functionality: Identify new requirements, plan for new functionality, maintain existing product functionality, assist in pre-sales issues and secure documentation is correct and sufficient.

The role involves limited travelling, up to 15 days a year.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a driven and structured individual with experience and talent in problem solving. We believe you have a service minded attitude and that you are practical when it comes to technical matters, as you will need to do hands-on product testing and product evaluation. It is of great value if you have technical knowledge and experience from working with mechanics and /or electronics design. Experience of IP video technology and/or Axis video product is an advantage.

You have passion and experience in making technical documentation understandable for customers and put high value in secure correctness.

You have social skills and an ability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contacts. You are always open to customers and colleagues, contributing to a good team spirit and a productive environment. Furthermore we believe you have:

* At least 5 years work experience.
* A pedagogic approach, both spoken and written, when explaining technical matters
* A deep understanding of technical matters and preferably experience of test procedures, trouble-shooting and product evaluation.
* Experience from working in development projects and of creating training materials
* Interest in and experience of documentation, including reviewing manuals and guides, updates and corrections to web pages, web-based tools, internal support information, etc.
* Excellent English skills, written and verbal.
* Swedish language skills: not essential, but a distinct advantage.
