Are you a natural problem solver? Are you skilled with automation and have a background within electronics? Then you should check out this position as Product Specialist Automation at ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems!
About the position
The Product Specialist for Automation plays an important role within the Global Technical Support team of our industrial business segment, especially in pandemic times where it contributes to keeping its end-users and their customers safe when we do not have to touch the doors to open them.
What you will be doing
Your main responsibility will be to collect, utilize, distribute and extend the automation knowledge around sensors, operators and control boxes among service engineers and sales companies within our organization. Your main operating area will be supporting the back-office of our sales companies and spare parts centres throughout Europe and the Middle East. This also includes implementing and introducing new and modified components to the markets, making this role perfectly balanced on a strategic/operational scale.
In this role, you will also:
Improve skills and knowledge of competitor automation products
Document work procedures, troubleshooting, product identification, tools and other information on digital portals
Register suspected product issues within the product area and submit to R&D for consideration.
With this being a specialised role in a global business setting, you will need to prioritize your own agenda in accordance with the organizational demands. It will also give you a great opportunity to impact and shape your own processes and overall progression going forward.
This role is located at the ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Headquarters in Landskrona Sweden and reports directly to the Team Leader for Technical Support within the division.
What we are looking for
We believe that you have some years of working experience within automation, for example as a Service Engineer/technical that has included a great amount of problem solving. You have a good understanding of electronics and mechanics. If you also have programming experienced within Embedded Software, it will be considered an advantage.
As a person, we will put high emphasis on service mindedness along with a flexible and dynamic work approach. Further, you enjoy challenges where you get to work on and solve non-standard technical issues.
Since this is a global role, occasional travel may occur and fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
