Product Specialist - Axis Video Hosting Systems

JOB DESCRIPTION Axis Video Hosting Systems is a new offering from Axis that has already created a huge interest in the market.In order to provide a first class product, we are now looking for a driven, enthusiastic and experienced Product Specialist to help define and roll out the offering, in close cooperation with our product managers. As Product Specialist for AVHS you will work in close contact with dedicated people in both our R & D and Sales departments, to develop and maintain the product in close keeping with customer demands.You will be responsible for the customer support for our AVHS, but will also work proactively - by producing documentation, technical notes and FAQ's.Another important part of the job will be acting as the bridge between customers and development engineers, injecting feedback in product development projects.To do so efficiently you will interact with customers all around the world, often by handling support cases from our offices in Lund, but also by visiting customers and partners at their own sites.The position therefore involves approximately 10-20 days travel per year.YOUR QUALIFICATIONS We believe you have a technical degree within some area of software development, and at least 5 years of work experience, working primarily directly with customers.You have extensive experience of Linux/Unix and broad knowledge of network management, network protocols (TCP/IP environments) and software administration.Skills in PHP and shell scripting will be of value, as will knowledge of hosted systems or similar centralized software environments.We also believe that you are a person with problem solving abilities and a service-minded and open attitude towards colleagues and customers.You are easy to work with, and you have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.THE SYSTEM AND SERVICES UNIT The AVHS offering is part of our System and Services organization, which consists of 20 people divided into 6 groups, each globally responsible for their service offering, solution offering and technical solution support.This includes product management for system functions and software, design and coordination responsibility for service and support offerings, project sales support and partner interface in technical and related strategic matters.WHAT AXIS CAN DO FOR YOU This is a great possibility to take part in building new business together with a focused team that has the support of a larger organization.If you are looking for a challenge and want to work with cutting edge technology in a truly global and entrepreneurial driven organization, then this is the chance of a lifetime.Come and join us!READY TO ACT?Axis is a company realizing the benefits of a diverse workforce.We know that diversity in groups creates a better working environment and promotes creativity, something that is fundamental for our success.
