Product Specialist, encoder/decoder (ref: 449)

Your work can in short be divided into four different areas: * Drive competence: Create training material, hold special training sessions and write technical notes, FAQs and white papers. * Maintain and develop product functionality: Identify, plan and prioritize new and maintaining existing product functionality and order maintenance projects. * Customer cases: Solve and prioritize support cases of a high complexity.You either solve them on your own or in close cooperation with R&D and operations. * Take part in the development project as an expert on end-user problems, needs and expectations.This includes responsibility for product documentation.The role involves limited travelling, up to 20 days a year.YOUR QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a driven and structured individual with experience and talent in problem solving to expand our highly competent team.We believe you have a service minded attitude and that you are practical when it comes to technical matters, since there will be hands-on product evaluation.It is of great value if you have technical knowledge and experience from working with analogue CCTV, IP video technology, video encoders/decoders and/or Axis products.You have social skills and an ability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contacts.You are always open to customers and colleagues, contributing to a good team spirit and a productive environment.Furthermore we believe you have: * At least 5 years of working experience. * Great technical understanding and preferably experience in testing, trouble-shooting and product evaluation. * Masters degree in computer or electrical engineering or similar knowledge. * Experience from working in development projects and creating training material is an advantage. * Excellent English skills, written and verbal. * Swedish language skills are not required, but an advantage.VIDEO PRODUCTS Video Product is a team within Product Management and is responsible for the Network Cameras, Encoders/Decoders and Accessories product offerings.This includes product planning, managing the products' life cycle, and handling of complex support issues escalated from local support teams.Our interfaces are both internal such as R&D, Sales & Marketing and Operations as well as external customers, partners and suppliers.[ WHAT CAN AXIS DO FOR YOU?This is a great possibility to take part in supporting and developing a central part of our product portfolio together with a focused team with the support of a larger organization.If you seek a challenge and want to be part of a great entrepreneurial spirit this is a chance of a lifetime.In addition we can offer a truly global environment working with the latest technology in complex systems and applications.Come join us!READY TO ACT?Axis is a company realizing the benefits of a diverse workforce.We know that diversity in groups creates a better working environment and promotes creativity, something that is fundamental for our success.
