We are now looking for a Product Specialist Firmware Platform, in our Product Specialist Team which is part of the Product Management organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Product Specialist Firmware Platform you will work closely with Product- and Program Managers as well as Product Specialists, since the software platform is part of all our video products. You will be part of R&D projects and you will collect feedback from the market to make sure we prioritize issues and efforts in an optimal way. You will also be responsible for handling the complex support cases escalated from our local support teams worldwide.

Your work can be divided into four general areas:

Drive competence: Create training materials, run product training sessions and write technical notes, FAQs and white papers. Solve customer cases: Solve and prioritize support cases of a high complexity, either on your own, or in close cooperation with Axis engineers. Take part in the development of new products and new firmware, as an expert on customer needs, expectations and requirements. Maintain and develop product functionality: Identify new requirements to the platform.
The role involves limited travelling, up to 15 days per year.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a driven and structured and individual with experience and talent in problem solving and product development. We believe you have a service minded attitude and that you are practical when it comes to technical matters, as you will need to do hands-on product testing and product evaluation. It is of great value if you have technical knowledge and experience from working with software requirements, firmware releases, IP video technology and/or Axis video products.

You have social skills and an ability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contacts. You are always open to customers and colleagues, contributing to a good team spirit and a productive environment. Furthermore we believe you have:

At least 5 years work experience. A pedagogic approach, both spoken and written, when explaining technical matters A deep understanding of technical matters and preferably experience of test procedures, trouble-shooting and product evaluation. Experience from working in development projects and of creating training materials Experience from working with firmware releases Interest in and experience of documentation, including reviewing manuals and guides, datasheets, internal support and product information, etc. It’s valued but not required if you have storage media integration experience Excellent English skills, written and verbal. Swedish language skills: not essential, but a distinct advantage. Most meetings are held in Swedish.
