For Sales Area North Europe, we’re now looking for a resourceful and driven Product Specialist targeting the main aluminum machining applications in milling, drilling, boring and threading. An exciting position within quite a new machining area, which means that you’ll have great possibilities to drive development and put your own footprints on our processes and ways of working. And not to forget the close collaboration with our broad, global network of stakeholders and customers. About the job
As Product Specialist, you actively contribute in building a competitive and profitable portfolio of products, knowledge and solutions for Sandvik Coromant – to meet both current needs and the requirements tomorrow. You enhance sales by promoting existing products and solutions, and you support introduction of new ones from a product line or industry segment perspective. Another important part of your mission is to support product and aluminum application knowledge as well as to provide over overall technical competence in this area. To be successful in your work, we see that you bring broad business understanding and experience from aluminum components in general, and specifically within the automotive industry.


To be more detailed, these are some of your responsibilities:
Provide new product and service introductions to our customers in collaboration with the front-line sales organization
Drive knowledge development and share best practices with your stakeholders
Develop and deliver training in feature solutions and applications to be able to educate internal employees, external partners and our customers using modern technologies for communication
Build strong networks within the organization, our customers and the academic world to analyze and understand current market conditions and future trends
Take lead and execute product or industry segment plans to enhance overall growth and give input to future target setting and sales plans
Perform field testing and monitor competitors, and then provide your findings to our stakeholders
Respond to more complex technical questions regarding the products, systems or services that requires cross functional work with our Global Offer Management and R&D teams



For this job, we offer some flexibility regarding location, but you’re preferably based in the Nordic region. Travel within the sales area is normally included in your job.


About you
We need a solutions-oriented and collaborative doer with excellent business acumen. You have a relevant university degree, most likely within a technical field, or the equivalent experience from working within mechanical or manufacturing engineering. You also need broad knowledge of metal cutting tools and aluminum applications. Previously acting in global and cross-functional environments is beneficial, and you’re skilled in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, where your preferably take lead as a project manager. Applying digital tools and using Office 365 is no match for you, and any previous experience from applications or software related to CAD, CAM or CNC is a plus. In our international world, you also need to master the English language.


You have proven communication skills and easily understand our customers by listening to their needs and challenges. You’re also an open-minded, positive and networking person, who shapes great relations and interact across both cultures and borders. A structured, proactive and driven approach help you to achieve results on time, and you enjoy solving problems together with others – always aiming to come up with the best solutions. On top of this, you offer your support and share what you know to strengthen our business, and your inspiring attitude often motivates people around you.
