WHY WE WILL LOVE YOU
Are you a passionate product person with a special interest in HR? Do you have an eye for details and can translate business needs into tech words? Does it come natural for you to challenge set ways and together with the team find ways to improve and be better? Then come join our team!
We are on a journey to create a new IKEA. An IKEA that is more affordable, accessible, and sustainable, and that lives up to our vision of “creating a better everyday life for the many people”. Within Group Digital People Planning we manage the digital tools supporting the life cycle of planning for a great co-worker and customer experience in a global omni channel reality.
WHO YOU ARE
We believe you share our IKEA values and are excited to join us in our journey to become the world’s leading omnichannel home furnishing retailer. We’re looking for a Product Specialist to join our Strategic People Planning team. The team mostly works with built solutions, supporting our business with tools that can analyze, plan scenarios and make suggestions for how to be more proactive and accurate in the mid- to long-term planning of our co-workers. Whilst making sure to adhere to labor law rules and regulations. We are always looking for ways to renew, improve and generate value for our co-workers and IKEA. Strategic People Planning is a new area and you will have the opportunity to influence the route taken to fulfill this important function.
To be successful in this role we believe you have experience of digital product development in an agile environment. In addition, we think that you have analytical skills and experience in understanding complex contexts. You are self-motivated and have effective communication and collaboration skills, paired with an ability to build trusting and successful relationships with stakeholders on various levels. If you have experience of strategic people planning in a global setting, and have worked with OKRs, we see that as a great advantage!
A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
On a day-to-day basis you will take a key role in our dev-ops team and strive to constantly evolve our digital products to meet the needs and goals.
You will also:
• Actively manage the product backlog including clearly expressing product backlog items with metrics and prioritizing based on business goals
• Support the Product Owner in tactical decision making with analysis results and insights
• Develop and maintain an extensive knowledge of the business needs. Interpret and share that knowledge with the product team, providing context needed to ensure we develop and deliver the right things
• Work close with your team and business partners whilst having a collaborative mindset, meaning you don't win, unless your team wins.
• Sometimes travel – to a certain extent and as conditions allow – to meet users in their setting
This role is an open-ended contract located in Helsingborg, Sweden.
Coming to the People Planning subdomain you will be part of an amazing team who will support and guide you in your new role. We work very close to our friends in People & Culture (HR) as well as the global community of people planners and business stakeholders. In this position you will have the opportunity to actively contribute towards the creation of our new reality and start a new era within this area. You will report to the Product Manager for People Planning but be led in your daily work by the Product Owner for Strategic People Planning.
TOGETHER AS A TEAM

We drive the development, provision and operation of our digital products and services through the use of new and existing technology and agile delivery methods to deliver at pace. At the same time, we provide a home for digital skills to both develop and extend the technical, people and business skills needed to ensure continuous development and growth of our digital capability.
We are looking forward to receiving your application and will review/interview candidates continuously. Please submit your application as soon as possible.
At IKEA, you’re welcome no matter where you come from, what you believe, and what you look like. We don’t even care how you have furnished your home. We’re interested in you simply because you’re you. Our different views, backgrounds, and personalities make us better understand our customers, give us more fun at work and spark more and better ideas. Perhaps your unique take on something could lead to a great idea that creates a better everyday life for the many people.
Studies show that members of underrepresented communities don’t apply for jobs unless they’re 100% “qualified”. If this is part of the reason you hesitate to apply, we like you to reconsider and give it a chance. Maybe your profile fits our needs much better than you think. We look forward to receiving your application.
