Product Support Engineer for Cephied

Job description
On behalf of our client Cephied, we are now looking for a Product Support Engineer that will provide advanced product support to customers requiring assistance with instrumentation, software, and hardware components sold and distributed by Cepheid. As a member of the Tier 2 Technical Support Team, you will support internal and external customers via phone, email and web serving as the technical expert in Cepheid’s Customer Care experience.

Cepheid is a leading molecular diagnostics company that is dedicated to improving healthcare by developing, manufacturing, and marketing accurate yet easy-to-use molecular systems and tests. In our facilities in Solna we develop and manufacture diagnostics tests that improve patient outcome all over the world.

This past year, our Solna site has expanded and nearly tripled in size, and we are continuing our journey of growth in search of a star that is passionate about improving lives of others. The position is based in Solna.

Responsibilities
Gather detailed information about customer complaints
Conducting advanced data analysis and troubleshooting, applying a deep understanding of underlying instrument, software and operating system functionality
Investigating and resolving advanced customer complaints
Connecting with Service and Global Product Support to raise and resolve more complex cases
Adhering to Quality Management System procedures
Maintaining product knowledge and supporting continuous improvement efforts
Contributing to quality compliance through accurate and concise case documentation
Representing Technical Support on projects and operational teams, communicating findings back to Technical Support


Qualifications
We believe that to qualify you have a university degree in Biotechnology or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 2 years of proven experience as technical support in a high technology industry; experience with clinical laboratory instrumentation and systems would be appreciated
Excellent communication skills Swedish (written and oral)
You are customer oriented, self-motivated, independent with high integrity and have good decision making, problem solving and prioritizing abilities
