The position
Product Test Engineer is a new position within the Product Development and Engineering department, PD&E, and we are currently looking for three engineers.
As Product Test Engineer, you will be a member of an agile Product Development Team together with Product Development Engineer, Project Purchaser, Production Engineer, Global Product Manager and Business Area Marketing Manager.

In the role as Product Test Engineer – Product Development, you will:


• Plan and execute internal product testing throughout the appointed product development project – from early prototyping and proof of concepts ideas to final verification with products from serial tooling in the industrialization phase
• Seek knowledge and find deeper understanding of technical challenges through empirical studies and experiments. Bring this knowledge as intel to your development team
• Stay updated in the field of testing and verification methodologies by participating in seminars and exhibitions

The position belongs to the PD&E department. You will be paired with a Product Development Engineer and work closely with this person in several projects. You will also contribute to form a new group within PD&E – Test and Verification group – were we combine Product Test Engineers with Test Methods. This Test and Verification group will have an appointed team leader but reports to the PD&E manager.
Within PD&E, there are several engineering disciplines gathered so we benefit from a lot of cross-functional work within the department as well as with other departments.

Qualifications

We believe that you have an engineering degree (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) and some years of relevant work experience or experience from working several years within a relevant field. As a person, you are comfortable in being both the specialist that goes very deep into subjects as well as in striving to understand why things perform as they do. You are humble and open-minded.

You must manage spoken as well as written English.

The post of employment is at the headquarters in Karlskrona and business travel is included in the role.
