What you’ll be doing day to day
Have you dreamed of driving and defining the user experience for digital touchpoints for over a billions of customers around the world? The Principal UX Designer role is an amazing opportunity to bring your significant design leadership experience to help achieve the IKEA vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
You will lead Product UX discovery, strategy and design direction by designing concepts in prioritised initiatives, to deliver excellent and unique IKEA digital experiences across ikea.com, the IKEA app and instore installations.
You will be a senior design leader setting the overall design ambition and quality level for the customer experience, and proving the business value of design across IKEA
You are passionate about, and highly experienced in, creating and delivering digital experiences that have big impact in people’s lives and their relationship with a company’s products and services
You will ensure high quality of deliverables within the Customer domain portfolio and provide design mentorship to support the development of senior and product UX designers
You will promote the Domain Product UX Design vision to key stakeholders up to top management to create business-wide understanding
You will drive, lead and own brainstorming, design sprints, human-centred design workshops and other co-creative design methods to bring the UX and Design strategy to life, working with other teams within IKEA
To succeed in the role, we see that you have experience in many of the following:
· Extensive experience in leading and producing all aspects of Digital Product UX Design, including Product UX design across multiple digital channels
· Extensive knowledge in driving and implementing human-centred design methods and approaches into cross-functional teams
· Expert in identifying painpoints in the user journey, to outline concepts for improving the user experiences
· Extensive experience as an inspiring, motivating and hands-on craftmanship leader of senior and product UX designers
· Very strong skillset and proven track record in advocating and showing the business value of design
· Extensive knowledge of changing digital trends in order to understand potential innovative solutions that meet human needs
· Setting Experience Design best practices by continually benchmarking against industry standards to continuously validate and improve deliverables
· Extensive knowledge of leading and working in an agile, highly collaborative team of product, tech, and data coworkers

This role reports to the Head of Product UX – Customer Domain, is located in Malmö, Sweden and is part of the Product UX - Customer management team. Our organization has coworkers in Amsterdam, Sweden, Madrid, Shanghai and Philadelphia.
