HV Breakers (High Voltage Breakers) is a business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids located in Ludvika. The unit has worldwide responsibility for the development, production and sale of high voltage breakers for both AC and DC power systems. High voltage plays an important role in reliable and energy efficient power systems.
As a production development specialist, you will optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes and equipment in order to minimize labour hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety.

Your responsibilities
In this exciting role you will be responsible for the process of implementing new products in the factory
Identify and recommend improvement opportunities and implement improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality and cost requirements
Drive continuous improvement projects in production
You will be a part of the production development team that works with everything from immediately remedial actions to long term strategic improvements

Your background
We highly value your personality and see that you are driven, structured with result focused
Strong communicative and collaborative skills
You hold a university degree in engineering or have equivalent experience
Experience from project management, or production development is key for this position
Knowledge and experience in LEAN manufacturing principles and practices, and/or L6S is desirable
Experience from production development is a plus
