Production Engineer

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for Production Engineers to join our stellar team.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
As an Production Engineer, you will participate in and drive projects, investigation and actions with the purpose to solve problems and increase efficiency in manufacturing. You will be participating in the implementation of new equipment and play an important role in solving quality problems.
Specifically, you have experience with driving actions or projects to improve efficiency in manufacturing as well as implementing cost-reductive changes.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performing process design/production efficiency enhancement/product quality improvement tasks
Analyzing the cause and solve the problem through the overall process quality monitoring for the stabilization of the manufactured product.
Understanding the secondary battery process or Manufacturing process
Maximizing the production competitiveness of the Northvolt plant through production operation optimization management
Production management / process problem solving and improvement experience
Process quality monitoring for product stabilization / Trouble shooting cause analysis and improvement ability

Skills & Requirements
Specific Skills/Abilities
Bachelor or Masters degree of Science in Mechanical-, Industrial-, Production-, Electrical- or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
3+ years experience in Production
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
Ability to understand and manage Yield and OEE improvement work /cost reduction
Experience in operating standardized documents for secondary battery or manufacturing operation
Experience in production management operation system management ability (MES/SPC/LMS/RMS etc.)
Experience in process improvement / investment in new equipment / process monitoring / troubleshooting / on-site management support / participation in new projects, etc.
Ability to learn about different cultures and work in an international environment
Passionate attitude towards rechargeable batteries and the ability to be challenging and creative
Highly organized and result-driven
