My name is Anna, and I work as a Business Development Manager in Älmhult for the Wood Components team.
Our current Production Engineer is moving on to a new assignment within IKEA and now we are looking for his replacer. Wood Components team belongs to Category Area Wood – one of IKEAs biggest Category Areas. Wood is an essential material and important part of the IKEA heritage and we can proudly say that around 60% of our sales in IKEA are connected to wood-based products.

As a part of Category Area Wood, you will have access to a huge knowledge base and experience in both leadership and Wood material, production and value chain. We offer trust and space to test and try, explore, make mistakes, and develop us and our partners.
Quality in all of our products is really important for us. In IKEA we work with our suppliers in a tight team of 3 functions, quality, logistics and business development. You would be the one leading the quality agenda in the business team, working very close with our Business Developers & Supply Planners. You are the main contact towards the suppliers to develop and secure the efficient production process, handling of quality deviations and secure compliance to all IKEA requirements.
Amongst others you:
• are responsible for Quality Assurance
• perform Product audits and production risk assessments at suppliers
• are responsible for Supplier development

We are looking for someone who enjoys building and maintaining business relations, having excellent communication skills. You work well in a team and believe in respecting others. You adapt to changes, take responsibility and are able to prioritize.
We believe that you have a background in engineering, quality and production development and you preferably having an engineering education and at least 2-5 years of working experience. You also have good communicative skills in English.
Travelling is a part of the assignment since our Engineers spend a lot of time with our suppliers.
This position is placed in Älmhult, Sweden or in Kaunas, Lithuania.
