We in transmission manufacturing are also in an expansive and exciting phase where we are laying the foundation for Scania's future transmission production, both within conventional and electrified powertrains. Do you want to take part and design the production system of the future?
In the engineering organization at Transmission Manufacturing, we work with the production of electrical machines prototypes and build up competence around series production. We are looking for a production engineer, who wants to be part of the journey to a new production landscape.
Your work assignments
As a production engineer, you will have a central role in the development of eMachine production at Scania and work with investment projects of machines, equipment and production improvement. The projects vary in size, from smaller projects improving the existing production unit to larger projects building completely new production flows. You will be part of a team of industrial engineers where the different projects are balanced within the team based on experience and interest.
As a production engineer you lead the project team from pre-study to commissioning and ramp-up of equipment. During the project you will handle a wide array of questions, from layout, capacity and facility adaption to economy.
Projects are driven cross-functionally with participants from production, safety, maintenance, logistics, purchasing and suppliers. You will have a wide network of contacts throughout Scania and the Volkswagen group as well as with external suppliers and partners, both national and international. Together with the process engineers, experts in manufacturing processes, you find the best solutions for each project.
You will belong to a committed team of production engineers and process engineers with different background and experience. If you like working with goal-oriented people with lots of ideas and strong work ethic, you fit perfectly.
The office is located in Södertälje and the job includes travelling to suppliers.
Your profile
We are looking for a result-driven person with a strong technical interest with a bachelor or master in engineering. Experience from a manufacturing environment and project management is meriting. To succeed in this role we believe you´re an organized and structured person with a strong ability to communicate plans, build relationships and pursue goals through others. You are a person that pays attention to details while keeping the overall goals, budget and timeline of the project. You like learning about new technologies and developments and have the ability and willingness to share experiences and guide colleagues.
As the job includes many internal and international contacts, English and Swedish at a professional level is a requirement. German is a merit.
