Working together with the designers in the product development units and engineers at our high volume production sites, our objective is to secure product designs and manufacturing processes suitable for the demands of high volumes, high production yields and exceptional product quality throughout the lifetime of the product. Description of duties: In your role as Production Engineering Sub-project leader you will be responsible for leading a project group of production engineers with the responsibility for influencing the design of our products to achieve maximum high volume production suitability (producibility) and for designing, developing and verifying the manufacturing operations for producing our products in an efficient and cost effective way. .Manage the Production Engineering Sub-project within the Industrialisation project of new products..Provide feedback on the performance of your project members to line managers..Create and follow up project budgets..Drive processes to secure the producibility of our products using tools such as DFM/DFA..Guide the design, development and documentation of the manufacturing process, from surface mount assembly of PCB's to the manual assembly and packaging of our products, including calculating production capacity, manning levels, logistical flow etc..Define, plan and execute process verification covering all aspects of the manufacturing process from surface mount assembly to test and packaging of the finished product..Root cause analysis of product and production process failures..Risk assessment using FMEA and development of business cases for corrective actions .Establish and expand relationships within the product development organization and production facilities. You will be working in a product project organization.A close relation with our production facilities, mainly located in Asia, and to our product development centres located worldwide is a requirement to succeed.Our working environment is dynamic with short product life cycles and a strong product portfolio.The position requires international travel, with increased frequency during certain phases of our development projects. Qualifications: We think you have a degree in Mechanical or Production engineering and at least 2 years of experience from high volume production and/or mechanical design; alternatively, you have a minimum of three years of mechanical engineering background from high volume production or design of consumer products.You have documented leadership skills and are comfortable giving both encouragement and constructive criticism to the members of your project.You have excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.Experience of working with people of different cultures is seen as a merit.
