Production Engineers PE3

Role Purpose Borealis is strengthening its technology resources by recruiting two Production Engineers for our polyethylene plant in Stenungsund. We are looking for persons who are willing to grow and develop within our organisation, either locally or within an international context. You are located at PE3, our low pressure plant based on Borealis own technology. The plant consists of low pressure reactors and a compounding line where the polyethene is produced and compounded into different pipe and cable products. The primary task of the Production Engineer is to assure, develop and follow up on daily production and quality issues as well as to contribute to the development of our process and products. Contribution - Support the Production Manager in process technology and assure plant safety/performance and cost effectiveness in daily plant work - Assure that the shifts have the needed procedures and instructions for daily operation (e.g. manuals and instructions) - Strive for continuous improvement by utilizing different processes and teamwork - Be proactive in finding innovative and optimal process solutions - Interface with shifts, maintenance, HSE, product development etc. - Hold seminars and training activities and actively contribute to networks within the specific field of responsibility Knowledge, skills and experience - Academic degree (M.Sc.), preferably in Chemical - Experience in plant operation, engineering or development, preferably in polyolefin processes and polymerization technology - Demonstrated good communication skills and fluency in English - Problem solving ability and ability to deal with complex solutions - Ability to set and achieve demanding goals - Relevant IT skills; experience of working with SAP is qualifying Behavioral competencies - Team work and co-operation - Relationship building - Innovative and creative - Analytical thinking - Achievement orientation - Concern for order and quality - HSE&Q awareness Other information We offer you an exiting job with a lot of challenges and possibilites to grow and develop within the company.
