Sever Pharma Solutions is now searching for an experienced Production Maintenance Manager with a solid track record in pharmaceutical, medical device or FMCG production. As Production Maintenance Manager you will head a team of 11 highly qualified technicians. You will report directly to the Production Director and will be a part of the Production Management Team.
Your task and responsibility
The Production Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all our production equipment ensuring manufacturing excellence measured through clearly defined objectives and targets in terms of safety, quality, supply, cost, and people. Key is to deliver high-performance and high availability in our assets where continuous improvement is central to our way of working, whilst also ensuring the highest level of cross-functional efficiency and collaboration with other departments such as Production, Engineering, Facility, and QA/QC.
Furthermore, the position will include both operational and strategic responsibilities such as:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure maximum uptime and reliability of production equipment, including preventative maintenance programs and troubleshooting procedures.
- Identifying bottlenecks in key processes, equipment, and/or employee capabilities, and implementing mitigation actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of production processes, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet production goals and minimize downtime.
- Establish and follow up the personnel- and overhead budget for the own area of responsibility.
- Oversee compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ensuring adherence to cGMP and FDA regulations and other related quality standards.
- Initiating and assisting maintenance related projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with equipment suppliers and vendors, keeping up to date with developments in the industry and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Upholding company values and leadership culture, promoting positive and effective behaviour.
- Participating in the Production Management Team.
Your background
The ideal applicant will hold a relevant degree in engineering, pharmaceutical science or similar technical degree and have at least 8 years’ experience within pharmaceutical, medical device, or FMCG operations. We also expect the candidate to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Production Maintenance leadership role. It is expected that the candidate has demonstrated experience of driving change actions, working with process improvements and optimizations (LEAN), cost saving initiatives and experience of working in/or leading projects.
