You ensure that safety, quality, production volume, staffing, and on-time delivery goals are met and within budget. Furthermore, you lead and distribute work in the production area, where you oversee all machinery and equipment as well as ensuring compliance with legal and financial guidelines.
Key areas within your scope are:
Ensuring personal and team safety by promoting a “Safety First” culture.
Management of staff through effective performance management, recruitment training and development and employee engagement.
Production planning to maximize plant utilization and ensure cost effective production.
Driving continuous improvement, development and implementation of new manufacturing excellence initiatives to ensure that cost-effective, high-quality products are manufactured.
Breakdown maintenance on all process equipment and services.
Sourcing of raw material and consumables.
Supporting Business Case development for Capex investments
Budget development, expense tracking and cost saving initiatives.
Naturally, you have the EHS (Environment Health & Safety) responsibility for your function, and you drive systematic procedures concerning your team, ensuring matters such as competence development and stable workforce planning.
You’re a member of the function’s management team and report to the Product Unit Manager Powder at the Additive Manufacturing Division in Sandviken. This role is based in Sandviken.
Your profile
Ideally, your background combines leadership experience with knowledge of production and the related processes. It’s important to understand production finance, basic management accounting and it’s beneficial if you have specific knowledge within metal powder production, as well as experience of scaling up production in a growing business. Proficient knowledge in Swedish and English is important as you work both locally and in close collaboration with a large number of colleagues based in the United Kingdom, as well as customers around the globe.
We value your personality, characterized by being target driven and self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and leadership qualities – you easily communicate with stakeholders both high and low in an organization, you’re good at creating buy-in, empowering accountability, delegation and at having tougher conversations on what’s needed to be done to succeed. An entrepreneurial mindset, combined with being structured and driven to move things forward are other key traits to thrive in this role. The ability to switch between a strategic and hands-on approach is also very valuable, as we’re a small and rapidly growing business.
